Orthopedics at Novetech Surgery
Orthopedics is a surgical discipline that treats deformities, diseases or traumas of the musculoskeletal system, i.e., the limbs and spine.
Several pathologies are targeted. They may concern bones, tendons and ligaments, muscles and joints.
In veterinary orthopedics, surgeons have a wide field of intervention and can treat more and more complex cases thanks to research and technology that we develop.
Novetech Surgery strives to be innovative in the field of veterinary orthopedic surgery, in order to treat your pet in the best possible way with minimally invasive techniques, so that it can quickly resume normal activity.
Timeliness of operations
Only your veterinarian will be able to determine if the operation is necessary. He/she will make the most appropriate decision for your pet, taking into account its breed, age and history.
While there are alternatives to surgery, it is quite often the best option for your pet’s health and comfort.
Indeed, we keep making progress every day and our technology has an excellent benefit/risk ratio.
Recognizing an orthopedic pathology in your pet
Your pet’s behavior is very indicative of a potential problem. While humans attest to pain, your pet will not behave in the usual way.
For example, a less fluid gait, excessive rest, hesitations in movements such as jumping, frequent joint licking or lameness are all behaviors that can be indicative of a pathology.
In case of doubt, do not hesitate to contact your veterinarian to make sure that your pet is fine.
