Surg’X® locked nail system

Locked nails are the gold standard in human long-bone traumatology, with numerous biological and mechanical advantages over plates. Their intramedullary insertion is particularly suited to minimally invasive approaches and preserves soft tissue and periosteal vascularization. The mechanical strength of a locked nail fixation in terms of compression, flexion and torsion is far superior to that of a locked plate. Its use is particularly relevant in the treatment of comminuted fractures.
